Here are some items by grandfather brought back from WWII:

73d Ordnance Bn Pin73d Ordnance Bn Lapel Pin
This pin is the unit crest for the 73d Ordnance Batallion. The 73d Ordnance Batallion was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington before being sent to Italy in World War II. The 3429th Ord MAM could have been part of the batallion and was redesignated the 3429th Ordnance MM (Medium Maintenance) Company from Company A, 73d Ordnance MM Batallion. His crest is tarnished silver, but the real colors are blue and gold.

Western AA Command Patch Western Anti-Aircraft Artillery Command Shoulder Patch This organization was the commanding organization for anti-aircraft artillery defense of the west coast. He probably wore this while station at Fort Lewis and being a member of a quartermaster/ordnance unit, probably supported the maintenance of this organization.

4th Army Patch Fourth Army Shoulder Patch The Fourth Army was mainly a training organization during World War II. He most likely got this while stationed at Fort Lewis. Still looking into this one.

75th ID Patch 75th Infantry Division Shoulder Patch This patch is a mystery to me. Its possible that he got this while ETO, his Ordnance unit being associated with this division, or he could have been a replacement. My dad remembers him talking about the cold and the Battle of Bulge, but I haven't been able to place his Ordnance unit in the battle, so it's possible. He could have also gotten it while participating in exercises in the United States, which is the more likely scenerio. His ETO return dates are close to the 75th Infantry Division.
